Important Program Rules

1.    This trip is for tourists only.  Journalists, professional photographers or government employees are not permitted to travel with us to the DPRK.  If you fall into a non-tourist category, please do not apply to visit the DPRK with us.
2.    Photography is allowed within the DPRK, however, there are strict limitations on what can and cannot be photographed.  We will inform you when it is ok to take photos.  Taking photos at times and places when it is not permitted puts not only yourself and your camera at risk, but also our North Korean guides.  Please respect North Korean laws and only take photos when permitted by our guides.  Video cameras and mega zoom lenses are not allowed.
3.    While in North Korea, we will be accompanied by North Korean tour guides at all times.  There is no freedom of movement in North Korea, and it is vital that you remain close to our guides at all times.  You are not allowed outside of the hotels for a walk without the guides present.  Please do not attempt to travel on your own, as once again, it is really our North Korean guides who will be responsible for all of our actions.
4.    Remember, we are guests in a different country and it is important to respect and follow the laws of our hosts.  Failure to do so may result in your immediate expulsion from the country.
5.    We cannot be held responsible for any mishap to yourself or your property and in particular any consequence or effects of flight/train cancellation/delay, robbery, sickness, Government intervention or other such happenings. You are advised to insure yourself against any possible risk that may occur and in particular to ensure that sufficient insurance has been obtained in respect of any dependant relatives. It is your responsibility to be covered by insurance, which must include adequate cover for baggage, medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue. Any claims must be directed to your insurers. Deposits are non-refundable except in the case that we must cancel the trip for some unexpected reason, in that case your money will be returned in the full amount.
6.    Change and travel go hand and hand.  Unexpected changes, although not always ideal, may happen.  Although we will try our absolute best to stick to the itinerary provided, we reserve the right to change or alter the itinerary at any time if need be.

I, ___________________, hereby pledge to follow the rules stated on this document above and abide by the rules, laws and regulations of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the People’s Republic of China while in each respective country.
